Critically acclaimed Kent-based “dirty pop” band Get Inuit has hit the road to launch its 2016 UK tour this week, with the support of Vauxhall Motor’s Vivaro on Tour campaign.
Vivaro on Tour has been backing up-and-coming British artists throughout the year by giving them free use of a Brit-built Vivaro van to tour around the country. The campaign line-up has included names such as Phobophobes, Life, Telegram and Yak, and is now set to support four-piece band Get Inuit for its UK tour with British indie rock band VANT.
Named Radio X’s “Great X-Pectations” act and backed by BBC Radio 1 with “Single of The Week” on Huw Stephens’ show and DJ Annie Mac naming them as “Ones To Watch” this year, alongside exclusively debuting their single “My Oh My”, Get Inuit is, no doubt, a rising band for 2016.
Formed in 2013 on the sunny streets of the South East of England, Get Inuit plays dirty indie guitar pop and self produces, records and mixes all its output from a recording studio in Kent.
On the partnership, Get Inuit commented: “It is mega kind of Vauxhall to lend us a van for our tour with VANT. Vauxhall clearly understands how hard it is for musicians to function as a financially viable live act in 2016.
“The Vivaro on Tour campaign has made it possible for us to get to all the shows with all our equipment safely and speedily. We owe them our gratitude.”
Get Inuit’s tour will see performances across the UK from 16th April – 4th September.
Vauxhall’s Vivaro on Tour campaign will support other up-and-coming British bands this year along their journeys, providing exclusive backstage access and capturing on-tour shenanigans. Stay tuned by visitingwww.vauxhall.co.uk/VivaroOnTour.
