The Citroen C4 Picasso range has been named the Best MPV for the second year running at the 2015 Fleet World Awards.
Presented to Citroen earlier this week at a ceremony in London, the Fleet World accolade was awarded to the C4 Picasso for its practicality, style and surprisingly frugal engine range.
Steve Moody, a member of the Fleet World judging panel, said: “Citroën has form as a manufacturer of excellent MPVs and the C4 Picasso takes full advantage of this.
Practical, styling and economical too!
“It manages to be infinitely practical, yet also distinctive and stylish, while the Grand C4 Picasso remains the only 7-seat MPV to emit less than 100g/km of CO2 without hybrid technology. Despite a multitude of strong contenders, the C4 Picasso continues to set the standard in its class.”
Both the five-seater C4 Picasso and the seven-seat Grand C4 Picasso come available with a wide choice of equipment across the spec levels, which includes air conditioning and cruise control.
Other options include a panoramic windscreen, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while range-topping versions even feature massaging seats as standard kit.
As well as that, the C4 Picasso has picked up a long string of awards in its time, including multiple accolades for the Best MPV prize from renowned publications like Auto Express and What Car?
Martin Gurney, Peugeot and Citroen’s UK director, said: “Citroën is delighted that the C4 Picasso range has won the Fleet World Honours ‘Best MPV’ award again this year.
“These successful 5 and 7-seat C4 Picassos are now widely recognised for their innovative, stylish and practical design, which is reflected in their growing sales.
“The EMP2 platform, which is common to both versions, plays a key role in the excellent fuel economy figures and CO2 emissions as low as 98g/km. All of which – combined with segment-leading residual values – gives C4 Picasso significant fleet-appeal.”
C4 Picasso the fastest-selling car in the UK
Last month, data from Auto Trader also showed that the Grand C4 Picasso was the fastest-selling car in the UK throughout March, with new models waiting only 15 days in showrooms before being bought.
Compared with the average wait time of 55 days that other cars spend at dealerships, Auto Trader claimed that the Citroen C4 Picasso sells much more quickly thanks to its appeal and low cost.
Available to buy from Perrys Citroen dealerships now, the Citroen C4 Picasso is priced from just £17,500, while the Grand C4 Picasso has a starting price of £19,200.
