The new Jaguar XE has picked up its second accolade in the space of a month, after having been named the Best New Car of 2015 at this year’s Fleet Word Awards.
Due to arrive in dealerships from next month, the XE has scored rave reviews across the board for its design, sporty driving dynamics and its class-beating low cost of ownership.
Fleet World magazine’s editor, Steve Moody, said: “The Jaguar XE is a brilliant new addition to the compact executive sector, with handsome looks, a class-leading, brand new diesel engine, strong whole-life costs and high RV predictions.
XE has picked up rave reviews
“Not only that, but it is wonderfully refined and drives incredibly well too. It is a sure fire winner in the corporate market.”
Earlier this month, the new compact sports saloon was also named the Best Large Car at the Diesel Car Awards, beating rivals like the Ford Mondeo and the BMW 3 Series to the punch.
Judges praised the XE for its looks, classy cabin interior and its low CO2 emitting engines, alongside its highly competitive pricing, which undercuts its closest rivals by a significant amount.
Diesel Car editor Ian Robertson said: “With a thrilling driving experience that enthusiasts yearn for and class-leading emissions, Jaguar has taken on the Germans and beaten them at their own game!”
In April, Jaguar Land Rover announced a range of changes to its fleet and business divisions, which will see it move to a dual-brand approach to sales, putting the XE at the forefront of its new business model.
Jon Wackett, from Jaguar Land Rover, said: “By uniting our two iconic brands we are able to offer a unique portfolio of cars to our fleet and business customers, build strong customer relationships and simplify the ownership experience for company car drivers.

“The Jaguar XE is entering one of the most competitive segments in the industry – so to have a publication as respected as Fleet World praise it as not just the best in its class but the best new car on sale is a huge honour.”
He added: “Jaguar Land Rover now has one of the most capable and diverse vehicle line-ups in the industry – one that consists of desirable vehicles that appeal to the head as well as the heart.”
Available to buy from Perrys Jaguar dealerships from next month onwards, the Jaguar XE is available to order now, with prices starting from just £26,990 for the entry-level model.
