Dragons’ Den star gets a Vauxhall Vivaro

The award-winning interior designer and star of the Dragons’ Den TV series, Kelly Hoppen MBE, has taken delivery of a new Vauxhall Vivaro van.

The current-generation Vivaro which has been collected by Hoppen is wrapped in a bespoke taupe wrap, displaying her company logo and signature.

Kelly Hoppen MBE will be making use of her new Vivaro to promote her new online venture, ‘Kellyhoppen.com’. This is a luxury online store featuring a range of Kelly designed accessories, bed linen, cushions, candles and gifts. All of these items on offer carry the designer’s iconic neutral-yet-opulent style.

Hoppen commented: “I particularly love the idea of working with British manufacturers such as Vauxhall Motors as I am an ambassador for the ‘Business is GREAT Britain’ campaign, a government led initiative to build confidence amongst businesses.

“I loved the idea of putting my style on the van and as I’ve just launched my online store, it’s been very useful to have the van for product deliveries.”

She added: “It is also clear that more and more woman are driving vans these days as they are running their own businesses. Perhaps the white van man is a thing of the past.”

The current Vauxhall Vivaro is priced from £19,308.33 and it’s available in both panel van form and as a Combi people carrier.

A new-generation Vauxhall Vivaro van is in development and is set to launch to the UK market this summer. The new Vivaro offers a more practical interior and greater efficiency via a selection of 1.6-litre diesels.

This new diesel is available with outputs of 89bhp and 113bhp. When used in the standard panel van and Combi body variants, this turbodiesel returns low combined cycle fuel consumption of 44.1mpg with 167g/km CO2 emissions.

Also available for the new Vauxhall Vivaro is a 1.6-litre BiTuro diesel with outputs of either 118bhp or 138bhp.

All of the new Vivaro’s engines, except the 113bhp diesel, benefit from stop-start technology which cuts down on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

The new Vauxhall Vivaro is sold in both standard and ‘Sportive’ trim specifications. The standard equipment list is set to include automatic climate control and keyless entry function.

Customers who choose the higher Sportive trim will also get colour-coded bumpers and exterior mouldings, LED Daytime Running Lamps and front fog lamps.

Final pricing details for the new Vauxhall Vivaro range will be confirmed closer to the van’s launch.
