With recent models Mazda has closely followed this line of thinking by introducing a bold design language called ‘KODO’ and modern driving technology titled ‘SKYACTIV’.
The collection of SKYACTIV driving technology, which is becoming more common spread, helps Mazda achieves its goal of creating fuel-efficient cars without comprising on performance on the road.
From this year onwards, nearly half of the Mazda range is fully embracing the KODO design language and SKYACTIV technology which looks and sound so appealing.

The Mazda2 Venture features a punchy 1.3-litre petrol engine and a sport styling kit.
Further up in the current Mazda car range is the new-generation Mazda3, freshly introduced for 2014. Priced from £16,695, the new Mazda3 range comprises of both five-door hatchback and fastback bodystyles. The traditional hatchback bodystyle will appeal greatly to family car buyers, while the fastback is a more saloon-style model suited better for executive business car buyers.
The new Mazda3 integrates all of the latest SKYACTIV technology combining efficient engines and lightweight body materials to enhance overall efficiency.
For a larger family car offering there is the award-winning new Mazda6 range, currently priced from £19,595. The Mazda6 is sold in a saloon and Tourer estate bodystyles. The Mazda6 Tourer starts pricing from £21,315.
The Mazda6 range also features SKYACTIV technology and the KODO design language, resulting in one of the most stylish and efficient family cars money can buy at the moment.
For any motorists looking for an even more versatile cabin and boot space in their family car, however, there is also the Mazda5 to be considered. Starting from £19,995, this MPV features sliding rear doors and a flexible seven-seater arrangement. The choice is made simpler as new Mazda5 models come in one highly-equipped specification.
Another family car available in the Mazda product range is the CX-5 compact SUV, which was the first product launched with SKYACTIV driving technology. As a result the CX-5, starting from £21,595, also boasts low running costs and an appealing drive which is sure to continue to attract all sorts of family motorists.
Completing the current Mazda car line-up is the incredibly popular MX-5 sports car, priced from £18,495.
The Mazda MX-5 is one of the most affordable small sports cars on the market, sold in both soft top and roadster coupe bodystyles. Not only is it accessible the MX-5 also has a reputation for offering a fun driving experience, which can easily appeal to many.
The MX-5 received an update last year. New features included a more aggressive-looking front face, weight reduction via the re-designed front bumper, a luxury tan colour interior option and 17-inch aluminium wheels.
