Citroen Seekers combines well-known social media platforms, including Facebook and Google Street View, and lets users ‘seek’ various DS3 Cabrio models hidden across a virtual world.
Players score points for collecting DS3s in both online and real world locations. Each point collected gives one entry into the prize draw to win a DS3 Cabrio – the more points collected the better the chance of winning.
The innovative option of both web and mobile gameplay means users can enjoy the challenge from their computer at home or on the move with their smartphone.
The developers of the updated Citroen Seekers game have also put in a few surprising features to give players unique game experiences with the opportunity to collect even more points.
A previous version of Citroen Seekers was launched back in 2011, allowing participants the chance to win a free Citroen DS4 hatchback. The year before that, Citroen launched the first version of the Seekers game which gave those who played it the chance to win a Citroen DS3 hatchback.
These previous versions of the Seekers game have attracted almost 65,000 entrants in the past, and Citroen will be aiming for even more to partake this year.
The Marketing Director for Citroen UK, Jules Tilstone, commented: “The ‘Citroën Seekers’ games have been a hugely popular way of connecting with Citroën’s existing fan base, whilst also introducing new people to the brand through a fun and engaging platform”.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to introduce DS3 Cabrio to our social networks and we look forward to delivering the keys to our winner.”
The Citroen DS3 Cabrio is available for orders in the UK now, with prices starting at £15,045 and first deliveries commencing on 1 March 2013.
The new model is based on the DS3 hatchback but swaps the metal roof for a folding fabric convertible bodystyle. The new roof can be fully closed up in just sixteen seconds and operated at speeds of up to 74mph.
Orders can still be made for the DS3 Cabrio at Perrys Citroen Dealerships located in Barnsley, Huddersfield and Milton Keynes.[YouTube:778rGMps0RU:BlockCentre]
