New Vauxhall Zafira Tourer BiTurbo models

In similar fashion to the Vauxhall Astra and Insignia BiTurbo models, the Zafira Tourer range will feature state of the art, sequential twin-turbo diesel technology. The flagship diesel will broaden the Zafira Tourer engine portfolio.

The new Zafira Tourer BiTurbo will be powered by a 2.0-litre 195PS diesel engine, able to push the car to a maximum speed of 135mph, as well as making the car able to achieve 0-62mph in around nine seconds.

These speed statistics will make the Zafira Tourer BiTurbo one of the fastest diesel-powered, seven seat MPVs currently on the market.

In addition to this, the Start/Stop technology featured in the vehicle helps the BiTurbo model to achieve an impressive combined fuel economy figure of just 50.4mpg, as well as CO2 emissions of 149g/km – which places the vehicle under tax band ‘F’.

The sophisticated BiTurbo technology provides a high power output, instantaneous throttle response and superb pulling power from a wide torque plateau.

The newly-installed BiTurbo technology expands the Zafira Tourer’s broad powertrain, which now features four diesel and two petrol engines.

If you are interested in the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer BiTurbo, you will be delighted to know that the vehicle is available in three different trims: the ‘SE’ model, ‘SRi’ version or ‘Elite’ specification.

Each trim comes with a range of options, including FlexRide adaptive chassis control system, AFL adaptive forward lighting system and a panoramic windscreen which allows natural light to flood into the cabin.

A new generation seating system, known as Flex7, is also present in the Zafira Tourer – providing extra flexibility inside the vehicle. The system features a unique lounge seating functionality which gives passengers an unparalleled amount of space in the middle seats.

The new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer BiTurbo models are available to order now, with prices starting from around £27,685 on-the-road. The first Zafira Turbo BiTurbo motors will arrive in showrooms, nationwide, in the spring of this year.

Vauxhall’s Chairman and Managing Director, Duncan Aldred, commented that ‘Vauxhall is currently the only manufacturer to offer a sophisticated BiTurbo engine on a seven seat MPV.’

Aldred further added: ‘It provides a perfect blend of high performance, impressive fuel economy and premium class quality in a seven seat layout.’
