This is according to the latest research figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). They show that over the course of last month Vauxhall achieved 18,262 cars sales in total across the UK, this represents an increase of 3,455 when compared to the company’s record in November 2011.
Vauxhall also took 12.24 per cent of the UK market share in November this year, up from 11.05 per cent acquired in the same month last year.
The latest figures also reveal that after eleven months, Vauxhall has now sold 215,983 new cars in the UK market across the year to date. Vauxhall also remains the second highest selling car manufacturer in Britain this year.
Vauxhall’s best selling model, the Corsa supermini, registered 6,164 sales in November 2012 making it the third best selling car in the UK that month. It finished behind only the Ford Focus and the Ford Fiesta, which remains the best selling car of 2012.
However in the overall year to date sales chart, the Corsa is ahead of the Ford Focus by over 7,000 units with 84,924 sales to date.
Another Vauxhall, the Astra family car, was the fifth best selling model in November with 5,032 registrations made. The Vauxhall Astra is also the fifth best selling car in the UK for 2012 to date with 57,911 sales achieved so far.
