According to vehicle valuation expert CAP, the new Ford Transit Custom will keep an extra £725 in value after three years or 60,000 miles.
Predicted values for the new Ford Transit Custom have been announced prior to the next-generation model’s launch into Ford van dealerships in Autumn.
A new Ford Transit Custom using a 100PS engine will be worth an impressive £6,8000 after three years and £5,250 after four years, according to the latest CAP data.
The van, which falls into the one-tonne category, comes with a unique new design loosely based on the ‘kinetic’ design used on the brand’s car range such as the new Ford Mondeo and the new Ford Fiesta.
Inside, Ford has opted for a more ‘car-like’ approach to the new 2013 Ford Transit Custom including what it calls a more modern interior.
Ford will also install its SYNC system in the Ford Transit Custom after it first made an appearance in the likes of the new Ford Focus.
Ford SYNC is a voice recognition system which allows sound systems, smart phones and satellite navigation to be controlled via voice commands.
Mark Ovenden, Ford of Britain managing director, said: “This is a more stylish and more functional Transit, which also manages to reward owners by retaining more of its value. Thanks to this latest endorsement by CAP, we’re even more convinced that our new Transit Custom will continue the vehicle’s market leading position.”
The new Ford Transit Custom will be available later in the year. The next generation of the new Ford Transit Custom is the newest version of the world’s most popular van and the UK’s top seller for over 45 years.
