The MPV of the Year crown, which was awarded by respected automotive magazine Diesel Car, tallies ten national awards for the Alhambra since its launch back in 2010.
The family car was praised for its quality, flexibility and value for money by Diesel Car judges and was summarised by the magazine as “planned for total convenience”.
Seat’s UK managing Director, Peter Wyhinny, said that he is pleased the qualities of the Alhambra are being recognised by authoritative names in the motor industry.
The Seat Alhambra is a highly versatile vehicle inside and out, which make it an ideal family car. For example, its rear seats can be folded flat to allow maximum stowage space of up to 2297 litres.
As well as having flexible seating, it also offers three extensive trim levels, with standard entry level features including Climate control, trip computer, remote central locking and alloy wheels.
On top of its equipment the Alhambra also has a large storage capacity of 2297 litres with the seats folded down.
Under the bonnet there is a range of both petrol and diesel engine derivatives, including a 1.4-litre petrol engine with 148bhp and a frugal 2.0-litre Ecomotive diesel that emits CO2 emissions as low as 146g/km.
The Alhambra’s powertrains can be matched with either a six-speed manual or six speed DSG automatic transmission.
In terms of family safety it is accompanied by an array of safety equipment including electronic stability control (ESP), three point seatbelts and driver and front passenger airbags. These features help the Alhambra achieve an impressive five star Euro NCAP safety rating.
The Seat Alhambra is priced from just £23,535.
Seat vehicles are available from Perry’s Aylesbury dealership.
