You may notice some fundraising activities across Perrys Peugeot dealerships over the next nine months and that is because of a very special partnership.
Peugeot has become the only automotive Corporate Partner of BBC Children in Need for 2012, a nationwide fundraising event aimed at raising much-needed funds for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
The charity has been running since its first ever telethon on BBC in 1980 and has become a national institution, as has its mascot, Pudsey the Bear.
Perrys dealerships will be heavily involved in fundraising activity in the build up to the event so keep your eyes peeled at local dealerships and here on the online magazine for the latest events.
So if you’re visiting a Perrys Peugeot dealership over the next nine months – and there are plenty of reasons to as a host of exciting new cars are launched – keep an eye out for Pudsey and dig deep; it’s all for a great cause.
Children in Need will take place in November but fundraising events will be taking place across our dealerships in the months running up to the big telethon event.
The move comes weeks after Peugeot announced the partnership with the charity and Andrew Didlick, Director of Communications at Peugeot Motor Company UK, sums up the feeling behind the tie-up.
“Children in Need has a long and impressive record of raising vast sums for worthwhile causes.
“Peugeot and Pudsey are a perfect fit. We were very impressed with our initial involvement with Children in Need last year and it seemed a natural next step to continue a partnership that will lead to us raising vital funds for disadvantaged children across the UK.
Perrys is no stranger to fundraising events after previously raising money for the Help for Heroes charity and local charities.
