Ford’s popular C-Max and S-Max models have both won accolades at the 2012 BusinessCar awards.
Noticed for delivering cost-effective value, good handling and high class business qualities the models were voted best MPV (S-Max) and best Mini MPV (C-Max) by the readers of BusinessCar magazine.
The new C-Max received an excellent reception upon its release a year ago and has continued to gain popularity and recognition for it’s on the road abilities and frugal engine range.
Its 1.6-litre diesel engine is one of the ranges most popular with CO2 emissions of under 120g/km and the ability to run up to 61.4mpg.
The S-Max is the larger MPV model that is popular for its combination of style and practicality. However Ford has targeted the S-Max at younger buyers, most noticeably with adverts featuring adventure sports such as skiing and surfing.
However, a sporty style does not affect its green credentials. The S-Max comes with frugal engine options including a 1.6-litre diesel engine option which delivers CO2 emissions of just 139g/km.
With help from Ford’s Eco-signature range, ECOnetic, these low emissions are one of many reasons the MPV models were the victors at the awards.
Low levels of CO2 emissions means low BIK tax for businesses, a rate of tax based on the level of emissions a car emits.
The interior standard of equipment is also high quality in both models, according to BusinessCar, which is a definite advantage as most fleet car business’s look for refinement as well as cost-effectiveness.
Ford vehicles are available from Perry’s Aylesbury and High Wycombe.
