2012 Peugeot range in new TV campaign

With the car market getting tougher and tougher, Peugeot has decided to launch the new advertisement campaign ‘Drive Away Happy’, focusing on its new car range including the likes of the updated 107 supermini and 3008 hybrid people carrier.

The timing of Peugeot’s new campaign falls just two months before the new March registration plates come in, a time when volume manufacturers such as Peugeot compete for new business.

To increase recognition of its new model range, Peugeot have brought in Life on Mars star John Simm to front TV, radio and print advertising.

The French brand hopes it will help the likes of the 107 compete with an influx of new competitors including the new Renault Twingo and Seat Mii city cars.

As well as advertising its new models Peugeot will also be using the campaign to raise awareness of its ‘Just add fuel’ product, which compiles things like insurance, warranty and road tax into one monthly payment.

UK Marketing Director for Peugeot, Morgan Lecoupeur, said: “2012 is set to be a year of regeneration for the Peugeot brand with several exciting new product launches on the horizon”.

New models for 2012 include the new and updated Peugeot 107, which has been given both interior/exterior cosmetic changes, with the addition of a new sub 100g/km engine.

Its new frugal engine and sporty appeal give the 107 a great edge in the city car market, especially amongst the younger buyer market.

At the other end of the spectrum is the new Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 compact MPV. This model proves to be a very exiting addition to the Peugeot range with a diesel-hybrid powertrain, the world’s first, producing sub-100g/km of CO2 emissions.

Lecoupeur added: “What better way to start than with an optimistic campaign that emphasises the positive emotions associated with driving a new car.”

Peugeot vehicles are available from Perry’s dealerships such as Aylesbury, Bolton and Portsmouth.
