There have been awards left right and centre all year round for 2011 models. This included the likes of ‘Best Family Car’, ‘Best Executive Car’ and an array of style awards from notable car publications.
Here at Perrys, we’re not going to go through the same process. Instead, we’ve picked out ten of our favourite new cars from 2011 and explained why we think they are worth considering.

The Kia Picanto is a small city run around which is ideal for getting you from A to B.

These low emissions are good because low emissions mean lower tax, which is what you want in an affordable run around.
The Picanto also has convenient interior features like a CD/radio and power steering. These can be really useful in the city environment.
The city environment can also be prone to road traffic accidents and the Picanto’s five star Euro NCAP safety rating is a reassuring quality.

Best SUV – Land Rover Freelander 2
The Land Rover Freelander 2 is a favourite amongst off-road drivers and with the introduction of its new efficient 2.2-litre diesel engine; the Freelander is the off-road SUV choice.
The Freelander is without a doubt a great 4×4 off-roader and can pretty much handle any hill or rough terrain thanks to Land Rover’s superb All Terrain system, which adapts the car’s setup to cope with different conditions.
The Ranger Rover Evoque is also a popular choice for SUV enthusiasts, but compared to the Freelander 2 it is more of a soft on-roader.
The Freelander’s new engine also has plenty of torque so you won’t have a problem getting up any steep hills or slopes. The real bonus of the 2.2-litre powerplant however lies in its lower CO2 emissions and higher fuel economy than other models in the Freelander range.
