Kia’s Picanto and Rio models have picked up nominations for the ‘City car’ and Supermini categories in the magazine’s 2012 awards.
The Picanto, which boasts CO2 emissions as low as 95g/km, squares off against the likes of the ever-popular Fiat 500 and the all-new Seat Mii – and recently won the prestigious 2012 iF product design award.
The Kia Rio has been nominated in its supermini segment category and also features in the ‘low-carbon award’ category thanks to its very low emissions of 85g/km from its 74bhp 1.1-litre diesel Ecodynamics engine.
Competition comes from the Fiat 500 once again, with its new International Engine of the Year TwinAir engine emitting just 95g/km from a 0.9-litre petrol.
Kia vehicles are available from Perry’s Burnley, Preston and Rotherham dealership.
