The Jaguar XF achieved a 79 per cent protection rating for adult occupants, while maximum points were scored in the side impact barrier test, with “all parts of the body being well protected,” according to NCAP.
The Jaguar achieved a 73 per cent protection rating for child occupants, with Euro NCAP praising protection afforded to dummies during testing.
The Jaguar XF comes with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) – particularly important as stability control is mandatory from 2012 on.
Other safety include two-stage airbags for the driver and front passenger (as well as side and curtain airbags), ‘soft landing’ seat belt technology to soften the contact with the airbag and an anti-whiplash system which is designed to move the head restraints forward if there is an accident.
The Jaguar XF is out in 2012 and prices start from £30,950. Jaguar vehicles, including the Jaguar XK, and Jaguar XJ, are available with Perry’s Huddersfield dealership.
