Renault lets customers rate their dealership

Under the new system, which gives visitors to dealerships the opportunity to comment on the service provided, Perrys Renault in Aylesbury has so far received a near-perfect four and a half star rating.

The dealership, on Griffin Lane, Bicester Road in Aylesbury, has so far been rated 25 times for its sales team with the majority opting for a five-star rating.

One reviewer said: “I needed a car quickly. They had a car in stock. They were helpful and offered me a discount. The car was delivered within two days. I can not ask for any more than that. I can not complain. They were prompt and efficient.”

Renault says over 4,500 customers every month are interviewed and their ratings placed on the system.

It has been described as a ‘transparent system’ allowing customers to see which dealerships are the best in terms of customer service.

Renault introduced the Dealer Star Rating system as part of a plan to revamp its dealership network in the UK.

Renault UK Quality and Services Director Mark Crockett said: “We’ve listened to feedback where customer service is concerned and have made huge strides forward but there is always progress to be made.”

The French car maker recently announced a new three year (or 100,000 mile) warranty on all new Renault cars registered after 1 September and its full range remains popular in the UK.

The Renault Clio supermini and the Renault Megane, available in coupe, hatchback, estate and convertible body styles, are the brand’s most popular models in the UK.

Other cars in Renault’s range include the Renault Scenic MPV and the larger Grand Scenic, the Renault Modus and the sporty Renault Wind roadster.
