The free fuel deal will be offered to businesses that purchase one of the three vans on a Hire Purchase or PCP deal, it has been confirmed.
Based on a total of 10,000 miles, the offer means Citroen will refund all fuel used in the year if the vans with the lowest mpg rating are chosen.
This, says Citroen, has the benefit of reducing the environmental impact of its van range on UK roads while helping businesses secure a year of free fuel.
Scott Michael, Citroën’s Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager, said; “In today’s tough economic climate, businesses need to make savings and the new Citroën LCV ‘Free Fuel for a Year’ scheme meets this key business need.
“It enables our business sector customers to not only benefit from some of the most fuel efficient LCVs on the market, but also to have their fuel costs paid for 12 months.”
He added all vans would be able to use Citroen’s Trafficmaster Smartnav telematics package in the Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay vans to help businesses keep fuel costs down through the use of a satellite navigation system capable of choosing the best possible routes.
The decision to offer one year’s free fuel comes after Citroen launched its Business Centres in the UK, a dedicated team of sales and aftersales people tasked with supporting business customers who use Citroen vans.
Michael added: “2011 has shown that Citroën is adopting the right LCV sales path. We are gaining SME business across the UK thanks to a combination of reliable, economical and competitively priced products, innovative offers on all of our LCVs and a dedicated network of highly professional dealers.”
