Accident management company Easi-Drive is the first business in the country to add the new car to its fleet after taking delivery of 38 models.
Already on sale to UK customers from £18,150 but until now, fleet deliveries had not taken place in the UK.
Easi-Drive pre-ordered the new Peugeot cars in January after the Peugeot 508 was revealed at the Paris Motor Show late last year.
Director Dan Bellamy said: "We have never received a single complaint whenever we’ve placed a customer into a Peugeot, indeed many see it as an upgrade!
“As soon as I heard Peugeot was bringing out a new large family car I knew instantly we had to include it on our fleet.”
The company boasts a number of Peugeot cars in its fleet including the Peugeot 207 supermini, Peugeot 308 hatchback, Peugeot 5008 crossover and sporty Peugeot RCZ coupe.
Peugeot plans to deliver 180 cars to the company during 2011. Mark Warwick, Key Account Manager for Peugeot, believes the cars will help the company ‘develop its business’.
He said: “Easi-Drive was first out of the blocks in placing a 508 fleet order and deservedly became the first company in the country to receive its cars.”
The Peugeot 508 is a large family car from the French manufacturer, designed to replace the Peugeot 407 in the range. Featuring Peugeot’s new front end styling, the 508 is notable for its use of e-HDi technology designed to lower CO2 emissions and improve fuel consumption through the use of stopstart technology.
The Peugeot 508 saloon was launched in the UK early in 2011, with the Peugeot 508 estate joining the range in June.
