Available now, the Twingo Renaultsport 133 and Clio Renaultsport 200 ‘Silverstone GP’ limited edition models will be range-topping versions of the small hot hatches.
The smaller of the two, the Twingo Renaultsport 133, is priced at £14,995 and is based on Renault’s performance ‘Cup Chassis’.
This means the car is set up to drag extra performance from the 1.6-litre VVT 133hp engine. However, visually the car has been given a makeover to honour the British race track.
New 17" alloy wheels, black roof, rear spoiler and door mirrors adorn the exterior, while tinted rear windows, Silverstone GP badges and new upholstery inside complete the look.
The Twingo Renaultsport 133 also boasts a new steel exhaust system to give the small car a more distinctive sound.
Meanwhile, the Clio Renaultsport includes the same alloy wheels and black detailing, but adds sports seats, Bluetooth and MP3 connectivity.
Prices for the Renaultsport Clio 200 ‘Silverstone GP’ limited edition are £19,995.
Both models come with a map of the circuit on the B-pillars, a handy addition because all owners of the new limited edition models will be given a free Renaultsport Experience track day at Silverstone as part of the package.
However, customers will have to be quick, because both special edition models are limited to just 50 editions each, with every model coming with a numbered interior plaque to highlight its exclusivity.
Both cars were designed specifically for the UK market and went on sale in UK dealerships on 1 July, in time for the British Formula One Grand Prix next weekend.
The new special editions follow the new Renaultsport 265 Trophy version of the new Megane Renaultsport into the French brand’s hot hatch range, which is widely regarded as one of the best in the world.
