The sporty hot hatch was delivered to Mills in striking blue with contrasting white alloy wheels – a feature that impressed the DJ.
Describing the car, he said: "I think it’s really good looking. It’s sleek and sporty and the wheels really look fantastic."
The Seat Leon Cupra R will replace bigger and more powerful cars for Mills, but he insists the 262bhp 2.0-litre engine can compete with all of them on the road.
"It’s fantastic fun to drive and I just love it," he explained, praising the 155mph top speed and 0-62mph sprint time of just 6.2 seconds. Despite this, the car also delivers 34.9mpg and just 190g/km of CO2 emissions – impressive figures for a performance hatchback.
For the DJ, an important accessory is the music system. Mills said: "The sound system is amazing and I’ve set up my iPhone so I can stream in music and listen to radio stations from the States, and the quality’s brilliant."
The Seat Leon Cupra R is one of only a couple of hundred on UK roads today, ensuring exclusivity for all buyers of the £26,000 hot hatch.
Based on the standard five-door Leon hatchback, the Cupra R adds sports styling such as sport seats, Cupra badging and an extended rear spoiler to boost performance.
Seat UK’s Head of Press and PR Mike Orford said: ‘The appeal of this thrilling SEAT is obvious. Great hot hatch styling, fabulous performance and Seats trademark sporty ride and handling are all there in spades."
The Seat Leon Cupra R is available now from Seat dealerships alongside the smaller Seat hot hatch, the Seat Ibiza Bocanegra.
