The stylish Fiat 500, designed by the Italian fashion house to celebrate its 90th anniversary, features a unique exterior and interior in keeping Gucci designs.
Prices for the latest Fiat 500 special edition start from £14,565 for the 1.2-litre version. However, the model can also be specified with Fiat’s TwinAir petrol engine technology for £15,765.
The two-cylinder TwinAir petrol engine has recently been awarded the International Engine of the Year title and described as ‘one of the all-time greats’ by judges because it delivers the lowest CO2 emissions of any petrol engine currently on the market, making it free from UK road tax.
The Fiat 500byGucci boasts a black or white paint colour with a surrounding Gucci red and green stripe on the outside. An upmarket Gucci themed interior includes premium materials and badges displaying the manufacturer’s name.
“The 500byGucci will enlarge the audience for the already successful Fiat 500, reaching those fashionista customers who want to have a unique car to distinguish themselves,” says Elena Bernardelli, marketing director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK.
Extras such as a Gucci keyring are also available to buyers, who can order the Fiat 500byGucci this month when an online order form goes live at the http://www.500bygucci.com website.
The car will exclusively be available to online customers, to ‘create an even greater sense of exclusivity and exceptional customer service’, according to Bernardelli.
The Fiat 500byGucci is the latest in a long line of special edition models based on the stylish city car. Last year, a Fiat 500byDIESEL was launched by the brand, following limited edition models such as the Fiat 500 Black and Fiat 500 Pink.
Special editions have also been released for the drop-top version, the Fiat 500C, in the form of the Fiat 500C Pink.
