The DS3 Racing was delivered to John Leslie, marking the first of 200 limited edition right-hand drive models to be sold in the UK.
In total only 2,000 Citroen DS3 Racing models will be sold worldwide, ensuring demand for the hot hatch remains high.
The DS3 Racing is a potent hot hatch based on the standard DS3, itself a more upmarket model based on the Citroen C3 supermini.
Housing a 200bhp turbocharged engine and capable of a top speed of 140mph, the DS3 Racing takes 6.9 seconds to go from 0-62mph, making it one of the fastest Citroen hot hatches ever made.
Decked out in striking black and orange or white and black colours, the Citroen DS3 Racing is designed to take on the Renaultsport Clio 200 and the Mini Cooper S in the stylish hot hatch segment.
After picking up the Citroen DS3 Racing, Leslie said: "I was looking for a car that mixed rally-bred performance and handling with a good helping of style and quality, and the DS3 Racing easily stood out. The added every-day practicality was a real bonus."
Despite the sporty nature of the DS3 Racing hatchback, the engine delivers 44.1mpg on the combined cycle and CO2 emissions of just 149g/km.
Equipment is based on the DSport specification seen in the standard DS3 but adds 18" alloy wheels, brake callipers, carbon finish to the front bumper, wheel surrounds and side skirt and adapted suspension with a lowered ride height.
The DS3 Racing costs £23,100 and all 200 set for the UK have now sold out. The standard Citroen DS3 is priced from £11,700 for entry-level models, rising to £18,775 for range-topping DSport models.
