Chevrolet cuts prices by up to £3,000

Chevrolet has drastically updated its range of cars in 2010 with the likes of the updated Cruze saloon and the Chevrolet Spark city car.

A host of more attractive, better equipped and well-built models for 2011 are set to be released to continue the revamp of the company in the UK, and the latest step is to slash prices by as much as £3,000 for the end of 2010.

The biggest saving can be found on the Chevrolet Cruze saloon, which has been reduced to £9,995 from £13,395.

The saving of £3,400 has been designed to tempt customers to buy a new car before Christmas – and avoid the 2.5 per cent rise in VAT.

As well as the Chevrolet Cruze, the new Spark city car has been reduced to an entry-level price of £6,495. This represents a saving of £1,900 and brings the Spark in line with the cheapest small cars on the market.

It is joined by the Aveo supermini in both three- and five-door variants. Prives for the Aveo start from £6,995 – £2,000 less than the previous lowest-priced model.

All entry-level Cruze, Aveo and Spark cars come with air conditioning, electric windows and a CD stereo system as standard.

Chevrolet dealers, such as the Perrys dealers in Rotherham and Dover, will be offering the cut-price models up to the end of December 2010.

In 2011, Chevrolet will introduce the new Orlando MPV to the UK, making it the first people carrier the manufacturer has sold in Europe.

It will be joined by the updated Captiva SUV and in 2012, the stunning Camaro muscle car, one of the most iconic performance cars to ever be sold in the US.
