On Friday 24th, Perrys dealers across the country help a drop in session with coffee and cakes – some even baked by Perrys staff – on offer to raise money for the charity.
Staff at the Perrys Preston Dealership raised over £141 for the charity through donations and cake sales, with all proceeds going to the charity.
“It was a great opportunity to work together to support a worthy charity and to have some fun too!” Graham Jeffries Accounts Manager, at the coffee morning.
In total, over 43,000 people were expected to take part in the nationwide event, making it the biggest coffee morning in the world.
Manufacturers such as Alfa Romeo have also pledged their support for the coffee morning, and actress Tamzin Outhewaite will be supporting the event.
However, Perrys Preston didn’t stop the fundraising there. Staff at the branch left their sandwiches at home today and instead had curry cooked by a member of the local community to raise money for the victims of the floods in Pakistan.
The mother of one of the staff, Mrs Ashraf, cooked the curry and in doing so Perrys hopes to raise over £200 for the cause.
"This is a great opportunity for Perrys and the local community to work together to help raise money for a worthy cause," said Peter Lambert, General Manager.
