The six-day ‘Ecomedy Tour’ will be undertaken by comedians Dan Adams and Christian Ancliff in a Citroen DS3 DStyle model as they tour the country doing comedy gigs.
The tour will take in six nights of comedy from 1 August to 6 August, when the duo will be appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
In total, the Citroen will need to cover 500 miles on just one tank of fuel. In order to achieve this, the pair have chosen a Citroen DS3 1.6HDi delivering 90hp and more importantly, 74.3mpg.
Before setting out on the tour, Dan Adams said; "We’re testing our humour against the public and Citroën’s technology against the elements. I only hope we can match audience laughs per gig with DS3’s miles per gallon. This should be a terrific adventure and we look forward to sharing it with the public."
The Citroen emits just 99g/km of CO2 and the French manufacturer is keen to see the effects of motorway and urban driving on the impressive figures. The tour will also support the Oxford-based hospice, Helen & Douglas House.
Marc Raven, Citroën’s Communications Director commented; "Citroën is delighted to be supporting the fresh new talent of Dan and Christian as they head to their debut Fringe. We’re also excited to see how our DS3 99g performs across such a great distance. It’s a unique and exciting project to be involved in, and for a very worthwhile cause."
The stylish Citroen supermini has been extremely popular since its launch, which signalled the reviving of the premium DS line in the Citroen range.
