Signposts, one of Luton’s homeless charities, took the time out to enjoy the win for Luton Town against Dagenham & Redbridge, thanks to Vauxhall.
Eight Signpost residents visited the ground with hospitality prior to the match. “I have not seen a Luton game since I was at school,” said one of the residents. Seeing Pelly Ruddock’s goal secure a win for Luton just made my day.”
“Vauxhall has a box at Luton Town and has done for many years,” said Jake Parrot, Vauxhall’s Sponsorship Coordinator. “It was great to open it up for charity and allow some worthy people to benefit.”
“We are working in partnership with Vauxhall for 2016,” said Tracey Holding – Signposts Fundraising Co-ordinator. “They have already secured a position at the Luton Plant for one of our residents. Obtaining work when you have been homeless is very difficult.”
Signposts has six projects in Luton and provides short-term accommodation for single homeless male and female aged between 16 – 64.
