Flywheel Machines Will Trounce Father Christmas’ Transport

Father Christmas may still choose a sleigh and reindeer power, but visitors to Flywheel at Bicester Heritage (July 2nd & 3rd 2016) are likely to prefer the host of two and four-winged classic flying machines and potent historic horsepower on show, making tickets to the event a fantastic festive present.

Flywheel is full of treats for historic motorsport, motoring, aviation and military vehicle enthusiasts, with spectacular displays and live-action demonstrations all set against the atmospheric backdrop of the UK’s best-preserved Second World War bomber station, Bicester Heritage in Oxfordshire. One very special element is that visitors get the chance to get really close to the rare historic racing cars in the open-access paddock, and to the aircraft and military machinery.

Now a ‘hub’ for classic motoring, motorsport and aircraft specialists, Bicester Heritage is an endlessly fascinating place, with the historic buildings being sensitively restored for their new roles. Visitors to Flywheel will have the opportunity to explore the site, when not otherwise engaged enjoying the action on the track and in the air, the period music performances, military re-enactors, vintage trade fair and traditional funfair rides.

Adult (16+) single-day advance discounted tickets for Flywheel 2016 are £23, and adult two-day weekend tickets £41. Child (aged 5-15) advance tickets are £7 for a single day and £12 for the weekend. And single-day family advance tickets (two adults and up to three children aged 5-15) are £52, and a family weekend ticket £92. Children under five are admitted for free.
