Vauxhall Motors has teamed up with charity OnSide to give Jason Dugdale (15) from Blackburn, the opportunity of a lifetime. Jason joined the England Football Team as their official flag bearer at Wembley on Tuesday 17 November for the International friendly between England and France.
OnSide Youth Zones is a charity with one simple aim, to build a network of high quality youth facilities across the country, giving young people safe and inspiring places to go in their leisure time. Jason Dugdale, from Blackburn, is a member of the charity and walked onto the pitch alongside the likes of Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart and Raheem Sterling.
The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity provided Jason with an exclusive, front-row view of his heroes preparing for the game from the England Team dug-out before joining the squad in the tunnel and walking out to proudly fly the St George’s flag.
Jason Dugdale commented on the opportunity, saying, “I’m over the moon to have been chosen to represent my Youth Zone and town. I’ve always dreamed of watching a home game at Wembley and can’t believe how lucky I am that my dream has actually become a reality.”
David Barton, Youth and Engagement Manager at OnSide said: “We’re so proud to have seen Jason flying the flag on the pitch for our Youth Zone network and representing all our members. Big thanks to Vauxhall Motors for giving Jason this opportunity, he literally can’t stop smiling.
“Youth Zones offer young people the opportunity to easily and affordably access a broad range of sport, arts, health and employability services that will help raise aspirations, enhance prospects and improve their health and wellbeing.”
