Nissan turns the e-NV200 into the ultimate ‘part-e’ van

Nissan has turned its e-NV200 van into the ultimate party on wheels, an all-electric mobile disco that it’s named the PART e-VAN.

Created to charge into Berlin for its official unveiling tonight ahead of the UEFA Champions League final tomorrow, the van includes a range of standout features exclusive to this special model.

Nissan tricked the e-NV200 out with a DJ booth on the roof, which supports a sound system as well as capabilities for silent discos, along with a cocktail maker and a fridge for making and storing drinks.

It also features a six-metre high light-up canopy, an LED dance floor at the rear of the vehicle, and a disco ball solar panel array on the roof, which powers all of the van’s unique functions.

Finally, the PART e-VAN also comes with two augmented reality screens on the side of the vehicle, which allows users to join their own virtual reality party.

Bastien Schupp, Nissan Europe’s vice president of marketing, said: “The PART e-VAN sums up what Nissan is all about – innovation and excitement for everyone.

“And what better place to showcase the ultimate party van, than the UEFA Champions League Final, one of the greatest sporting events on the planet.

“Nissan has time and again proven its commitment to electric cars, and as we electrify Berlin with the 100% electric e-NV200 here at the Olympiastadion – it’s the energy from our fans that inspires us to innovate.”

Following its debut in Berlin, the PART e-VAN will go on a road show around Europe, stopping at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race before heading around the rest of the continent throughout the year.

In November last year, the regular Nissan e-NV200 was named the light commercial van of the year at the 2014 Next Green Car Awards, thanks to its innovative nature and low-cost appeal.

Able to manage up to 106 miles on a single charge, the e-NV200 also comes with a wide range of standard equipment which includes a rear view camera, air conditioning and tinted rear windows.

Buyers can also specify the van with a choice of two upgraded chargers to reduce its already impressive charging time, the e-NV200 Rapid and e-NV200 Rapid Plus.

The new Nissan e-NV200 is available to buy from Perrys Nissan dealerships now, with prices starting from just £13,395 for the entry-level model.
