The SEAT Ibiza ST has been named the Most Highly Rated Car at this year’s Honest John Awards, thanks to the passion of its owners.
Stylish and compact, the Ibiza ST earned the honour due to the fact that it earned more five-star reviews on the Honest John website than any other model in the past year.
Satisfied owners put a wealth of praise on the estate model, listing exceptional value for money, quality and plenty of equipment as their reasons for liking it in their self-written reports.
More five-star reviews than any other car
Chris Stevens, head of marketing for SEAT, said: “This is a great award to receive, not least because it reflects the opinions of owners themselves, making it even sweeter.”
“Ibiza ST’s success demonstrates its far-reaching appeal, combining versatility, quality and low ownership costs,” he added.
Despite the fact that the Ibiza ST has currently been on the market for nearly five years, sustained enthusiasm from owners and buyers has put it head and shoulders above many more powerful and recent cars.
Dan Harrison, Honest John editor, said: “When it comes to positive Honest John Owners’ Reviews, no other car can match the SEAT Ibiza ST. Over the past 12 months it has been given five stars by our readers for its smart looks, efficient engines and comfortable cabin.
“Indeed, our readers say the Ibiza ST is excellent value and we agree. Few other compact estates can match it for refinement or ability.”
Providing genuine estate capabilities with the sensible proportions of a supermini, the Ibiza ST manages to pack an impressive 430 litres of boot space despite its compact dimensions.
New Ibiza range on its way soon
In keeping with the rest of the SEAT line-up, it also shares the same dynamic, sporty looks and compelling on-road prowess as the rest of its family.
As well as that, the manufacturer has announced that a new version of the Ibiza ST will launch later this year, complete with enhanced performance, new kit and a wealth of personalisation options.
Unveiled at the Barcelona Motor Show earlier this month, prices for the new Ibiza range have yet to be announced, but it’s expected that more will be known in the coming months.
