Hyundai i10 wins double at Carbuyer Awards

The hugely-popular Hyundai i10 has scored a double win at the Carbuyer Awards, having been named the Best City Car and the Best Car That’s Cheap to Insure.

Currently, this is the third award that the i10 has racked up since the start of the year, after it was also named Best City Car at the What Car? Car of the Year Awards for the second year in a row.

Not only that, but the i10’s incredible sales success means that last year, Hyundai became the first Korean car manufacturer to sell 25,000 units of one model in a single year.

“Best choice for budget-conscious buyers”

Stuart Milne, Carbuyer editor, said: “The Hyundai i10 is the best choice for budget-conscious buyers, providing comfortable, safe and above all affordable motoring. It also comes with one of the best warranties in the business and is packed with equipment.”

According to the Carbuyer, the Carbuyer Best Car Awards are the only customer-focused accolades in the industry, with each car assessed according to the 20 biggest questions asked by consumers.

Tony Whitehorn, Hyundai UK’s president and CEO, said: “This latest award for i10 is a true testament to the level of quality and practicality that Hyundai customers have become accustomed to.

“Thanks to its generous level of equipment, and deceptively large interior, we’re confident that i10 will continue on this award-winning streak.”

The Hyundai i10 has been so successful, that Hyundai added a new premium trim option to the range last month in order to further expand its appeal to the varied and discerning demands of modern buyers.

Available to order now, the new Premium SE trim features 15-inch alloy wheels, an electric tilting and sliding glass sunroof and rear parking sensors, plus chrome effect door handles and climate control.

It also features a smart key with a built-in engine stop-start button, plus heated front seats and a heated steering wheel to boost comfort and luxury for drivers.

Boasting one of the roomiest cabins of any city car and a large boot capacity that can expand to a maximum of 1,046 litres, the i10 is perhaps the most practical choice in the current city car market.

Its good looks and useable interior are complemented further by a range of frugal engines, which deliver sparky performance but with impressive economy and CO2 emissions as low as only 98g/km.

Available to buy from Perrys Hyundai dealership in Luton now, prices for the Hyundai i10 range start from just £8,595 while the new Premium SE model is priced from £11,995.
