Mazda is gearing up to launch its all-new model offensive at the Geneva Motor Show this March, with a total of five new cars on display.
New compact crossover
Among the cars on show will be the all-new CX-3 compact crossover and the latest generation of the MX-5, plus the new Mazda2 supermini, the 2015 CX-5 and finally the 2015 Mazda6 family car.
Standing front and centre will be the all-new CX-3 crossover, a smaller cousin to the popular CX-5 and the very first small SUV ever manufactured by the Japanese carmaker.
Like the rest of Mazda’s contemporary range, the CX-3 has been designed in accordance with the company’s sleek KODO design language, with swooping aerodynamic lines and a large front grille.
Available with a choice of front-wheel or four-wheel drive, the CX-3 also comes fitted with Mazda’s popular SKYACTIV technology, which offers increased efficiency without scrimping on performance.
Likewise, the fourth-generation of the hugely successful MX-5 also features SKYACTIV engines and components for the first time, along with a complete restyling courtesy of a collaboration with Fiat.
Harking back to the simple design and driver-first orientation of the first MX-5, which was released 25 years ago, the new model also comes with a smart new interior and modern tech additions.
Mazda has also said that the new Mazda2 supermini will raise the bar in the B segment, with a range of fresh and exciting new equipment, which includes a class-first heads-up display.
Due to go on sale in the UK during the first half of this year, the Mazda2 has already seen success in other markets, having won the Car of the Year award in Japan alongside other coveted accolades.
Finally, the newest versions of the CX-5 crossover and the Mazda6 family car will round off Mazda’s new model range at the Geneva Motor Show, showing off their newly redesigned features and interiors.
Packed full of cutting-edge new safety systems like adaptive LED headlights, both models will also benefit from the addition of features like all-wheel drive, heads-up displays and new engines.
All five of the new models will also be available with Mazda’s MZD Connect smartphone-compatible infotainment system, plus the company’s i-ACTIVSENSE active safety technology.
Each will be on display at Mazda’s stand at the Geneva Motor Show, which begins from the 3rd of March onwards, and go on sale in the UK later this year.
