Hyundai’s ix35 has officially been voted the Best Crossover by readers of BusinessCar magazine in the prestigious 2015 BusinessCar Awards.
The only fleet awards chosen by readers of the magazine, the BusinessCar Awards praised the ix35’s ability to bear heavy usage, high mileages and the sharp eye of company accountants.
As well as that, readers also highly recommended its generous trim and equipment options, wide engine range and also its choice of either 4×4 or front-wheel drive only powertrains.
Paul Barker, BusinessCar editor, said: “ix35 illustrates the great leaps Hyundai has made in terms of product appeal, quality, value and design, and shows that the brand is now a mainstream choice.
“These awards are selected by the readers of BusinessCar, and they obviously appreciate the talents of a company that is on the up and can match the more established business car players for efficiency, satisfaction and operating costs.”
Affordability is key
Low running costs and tax prices also make the car an extremely attractive prospect under company car tax rules, while impressive residuals, durability and warranty options kept fleet managers happy.
Martin Wilson, Hyundai UK’s fleet director, said: “The ix35 has been a multiple award-winning star car for us, and has proved to be a vital part of our modern, capable range that has revolutionised our fleet customer perception in the UK.
“This latest award is all the more valuable to us as it comes direct from people who know which cars can cope with being pushed to their limits, and yet still be attractive financially to companies and the end user.”
Hyundai claims that the ix35 has equipment levels that stand head and shoulders above the competition, making it attractive to both company drivers and private buyers.
Heated seats as standard
There’s more standard kit on the entry-level ix35 than the basic Ford Focus, with 17-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity and heated front and rear seats, for less than the cost of the Focus.
Other standard features include electric heated door mirrors, a leather steering wheel and gearknob, plus reverse parking sensors and a trip computer.
Premium models, meanwhile, get 18-inch alloys, a double-length panoramic glass roof and cruise control, plus keyless entry, automatic lights and wipers, with options including full leather seats.
The Hyundai ix35 is available to buy from Perrys now, priced from £17,000. For fleet and business offers, check out our deals page or get in touch with us today.
