Alfa Romeo has launched the brand-new Giulietta Business Edition derivative aimed specifically at business drivers.
Based on the mid-range Distinctive trim, the new Giulietta Business Edition also features a range of additional kit that Alfa Romeo claims will make it a success amongst user-chooser drivers.
The new model comes with 16-inch wheels, dual zone climate control and rear parking sensors, plus cruise control and DAB digital radio with Bluetooth compatibility like the Distinctive model.
However, it also comes packed with a range of new additions, including a 6.5-inch Uconnect infotainment system , electric front seats and sensors that detect low light levels and rain.
It also receives front parking sensors, power folding mirrors, a rear view mirror which automatically dims when light is shone on it and metallic paint for no extra cost.
The manufacturer claims that the extra kit on the Giulietta Business Edition is worth more than £2,000, though the Business Edition is actually cheaper than the Distinctive, priced from just £18,990.
A range of additional options are also available, including a choice of 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels, plus tinted windows and the exclusive Competizione Red with a satin-effect on the door mirrors.
Bi-xenon headlamps and an electric double sunroof can also be specified, while the extra kit list is rounded off with high-performance Brembo brake callipers and a Bose hi-fi sound system.
Engine options for the Giulietta Business Edition are identical to those in the standard Giulietta range, with a choice of four low-emissions power options available.
Diesel options include a 1.6-litre turbodiesel with an output of 104bhp, plus an incredible fuel economy of 70.6mpg and CO2 emissions of just 104g/km.
A 2.0-litre turbodiesel is also available in a choice of 150bhp or 173bhp, with economy figures from 67.3mpg and CO2 emissions from 110g/km.
The single petrol engine, meanwhile, is a 1.4-litre turbocharged option with 168bhp on tap, plus a combined fuel economy figure of 55.4mpg and CO2 emissions from 119g/km.
First launched in the UK back in 2010, the current Giulietta is one of the most stylish hatchbacks in its market segment, with new facelifted details for 2014 including a new front grille and alloy wheels.
Based on the original Giulietta, a milestone model for the brand, the range made the exotic and well-loved Alfa Romeo badge attainable for a wider audience when it was first released in 1954.
On sale now, prices for the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta Business Edition range between £18,990 and £22,450.
