R&GO app available for new Renault vans

Renault has launched a new smartphone app, which is compatible with all new Trafic and Master vans.

Available for free download, the R&GO app connects to the vehicle via Bluetooth and provides a wide range of navigation, information and entertainment functions.

Some of the features that the app supports include a 3D turn-by-turn satnav function, plus a vehicle trip computer which displays fuel and economy figures.

Plenty of modern features

As well as that, the app also allows the driver to access both Internet radio and stored music, and use hands-free phone functions that includes making calls and having SMS messages read out.

Accessed from the vehicle’s touchscreen interface, all four functions can be accessed easily by the driver, according to Renault.

Displays that show fuel economy, distance travelled and a special drivers’ rating is shown, which also provides helpful tips on how to get the best mileage for the conditions.

One touch system

In order to reduce distraction even further, the telephone can be accessed via a one-touch system, allowing drivers to access contacts and a dial pad from a single touch of the screen.

It’s available for all compatible iOS and Android smartphones and is free to download, however the satnav feature requires a one-off payment of £19.99, which can be made through the app.

A month-long free trial is available, but the payment gives drivers the flexibility of taking their device on the go with full navigation capabilities that don’t use up mobile data.

Renault says that the introduction of the R&GO app further boosts the “mobile office” abilities of the manufacturer’s van range, alongside features like dedicated laptop spaces and detachable clipboards.

Brand new vans

Both the new Master and Trafic models are some of the newest vans currently available in the market, with the newest versions of both introduced only a few months ago.

A range of new standard equipment features on both models, including new stability control, full steel bulkheads, plus USB and Bluetooth connectivity.

As well as that, both the new Master and Trafic models come with a variety of frugal new engine options, which offer better fuel economy and less CO2 emissions than ever before, without sacrificing power.

The new Renault Trafic and Master vans are available to buy from Perrys dealerships today, priced from £18,245 for the Trafic and £26,229 for the Master.
