Jaguar launches Heritage Driving Experience

Jaguar has announced the launch of a new driving experience that will put drivers behind the wheel of some of the marque’s most legendary cars.

The Jaguar Heritage Driving Experience is being offered by Jaguar Land Rover’s bespoke Special Operations division at a special 200-acre testing facility in Warwickshire.

Visitors will be given the chance to drive some of the marque’s most iconic machines, including the Le Mans-beating D-Type, the legendary E-Type and the fire-breathing F-Type R Coupe.

It’s due to open from November onwards, with many of the vehicles due to be used offered to the public for the very first time ever, having been specially prepared by Jaguar’s team.

Recently, Jaguar added an additional 500 models to its personal collection, having purchased many of them from a single private collector back in July.

The collection now currently includes a range of iconic Jaguars, from pre-war racers to modern sport saloons and grand tourers.

A variety of different packages will be available, offering visitors the chance to experience one or many of Jaguar’s high-performance models.

Managing director of Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations, John Edwards, said: “This is the first experiential offering from our new division and is the first time in Jaguar’s history that we have made a collection of vehicles of this calibre available for ‘arrive and drive’ experiences.

“It’s an extremely exciting new project that underscores the very essence of what Special Operations is all about, celebrating heritage with our eyes firmly on the future.”

Jaguar Experience Package

Packages include the Jaguar Experience, which will offer passenger rides with a professional driver in a choice of cars, including the XK150 and Mark 2 saloon. Visitors will also have the option of driving one heritage car and its modern counterpart, like the E-Type and F-Type models.

Le Mans Package

The Le Mans package, meanwhile, allows visitors to drive the legendary C- and D-Type racers that dominated the Le Mans 24-hour racer during the 50s. It also includes drives in the XKSS and F-Type R.

Grace and Pace Package

Finally, the most expensive Grace and Pace package offers a full day of driving models from across Jaguar’s entire range, including pre- and post-war models, saloons, coupes and more.

Alongside that, those opting for the Grace and Pace will also be given the opportunity to get into Special Operations exclusive vehicles, and will get escorted to lunch by a chauffeur.
