Kia experience takes over London shopping centre

Kia is taking over the Westfield Shopping Centre in London to offer visitors to learn more about the carmaker’s product range and brand.

‘Ready to Roll’

The South Korean carmaker will take over the 150,000 square meter centre for its ‘Ready to Roll’ interactive event throughout the first ten days of August.

Built upon the company’s recent campaign to launch the all-new Soul model, the event includes the hugely popular ‘Hamsters’ TV advert and various other interactive activities.

Included in the interactive stand will be the Xbox Kinect Health and Fitness challenge, where visitors can compete against each other in a two-minute training challenge hosted by a fully trained fitness instructor.

Graffiti pod

There’ll also be a digital graffiti pod and design studio to allow visitors to style their own Soul, as well as radio-controlled Kia Soul racing cars.

Head of Brand Communications at Kia, Simon Gardiner, said: “This is the first time Kia has done an event like this on such a big scale.

“With the interactive and fun elements to the stand we hope that visitors to Westfield will really engage with the brand and come away with a positive experience of Kia.”

Other attractions will include a chute to allow visitors to slide into the ground-floor Kia stand from the first floor and full-sized Kia Hamster mascots who are available for photo opportunities.

The new Kia Soul was launched in April and an all-electric version of the compact crossover will be available to order later in the year.

Based on the chassis from the Kia cee’d, the new Soul is longer, lower and wider than its predecessor.

It’s available in five different trim levels and with a wide range of standard equipment, including DAB digital radio, adjustable power steering and keyless entry.

Testimony to its predecessor’s history of awards successes, the all-new Kia Soul has been recently nominated for this year’s European Car of the Year Awards.

However, Kia fans will have to wait a while longer to find out the results. Following the announcement of the official shortlist this December, the winner won’t be announced until March next year, where the overall victor will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.

In the meantime, Kia’s Ready to Roll event runs until August 10th, while the all-new Kia Soul is available to buy now, with prices starting from just £12,600.
