The Citroen C4 Grand Picasso has won the accolade for Best MPV as this year’s Auto Express Awards.
This is the latest in a long string of awards earned by the C4 Grand Picasso, after it was also named Best MPV at the Tow Car Awards in June and scooped a win at the Fleet News Awards in March.
In addition to the C4 Grand Picasso’s prize, several of Citroen’s other models also earned commendations at the ceremony, including the five-seat C4 Picasso, the new C4 Cactus and the DS 3.
Steve Fowler, editor-in-chief at Auto Express, said: “The Grand C4 Picasso is a brilliantly conceived MPV. Citroen really has put the family first in producing a car that’s easy, enjoyable and cost effective to own.
“It not only does the practical things superbly, but impresses with its overall comfort and refinement, plus its quality and advanced technology.”
Sharing some of its stylistic similarities with Citroen’s premium DS range, the Grand C4 Picasso also boasts a wide range of luxury kit and safety technologies, plus some incredibly efficient engines.
Engine choices include the basic 1.6-litre VTi petrol that has a power output of 118bhp, while there’s also a 153bhp 1.6-litre THP petrol version.
Also available is an 89bhp 1.6-litre e-HDi diesel which returns class-leading figures for efficiency, including a combined fuel economy of 74.3mpg and CO2 emissions of just 98g/km.
Meanwhile, standard equipment for the latest C4 Grand Picasso includes air conditioning, a six-speaker stereo and LED daytime running lights.
