Top five for owner satisfaction
The budget car brand Dacia has managed to surprise the establishment in its first ever year in the Auto Express Driver Power survey. In one of the UK’s biggest car customer satisfaction surveys, Dacia managed to finish within the top five brands for owner satisfaction.
In the 2014 Driver Power survey, more than 46,000 UK car owners took part and each were asked to rate the car they own in a large number of different categories. From these responses detailed assessments were gathered on over 200 cars currently sold in Britain.
In the manufacturer league table Dacia stormed to fifth overall, out of 33 manufacturers in total, with an impressive overall score of 88.04 per cent. The Dacia brand managed a higher score then several well-established premium car brands such as Audi, BMW and Porsche.
The Renault-owned Dacia brand also managed to surpass most of its direct competitors across a wealth of individual categories too, ranging from in-car tech to practicality and reliability.
Dacia also managed a top three finish in the reliability category. Topping this impressive feat off is fourth in the practicality category and third in the car-tech segment. The latter achievement was no doubt achieved thanks to Dacia’s MediaNav infotainment system. Costing just £300, it’s hundreds of pounds less than conventional manufacturer integrated offerings.
Servicing Costs Category
In the servicing costs category meanwhile Dacia finished a respectable eighth place.
The Managing Director of Renault Group UK, Ken Ramirez, commented on Dacia’s exceptional debut in the Driver Power survey this year. He said: “Dacia has a great reputation for affordable, high quality products, with impressive reliability.
“With an ever-growing trophy cabinet and a four-model range available for a full year, its sales just keep on rising. Dacia has very loyal customers right across the globe, so I’m delighted that as one of its newest markets, our UK customers are finding them such a pleasure to own.”
The four model-strong Dacia range for the UK currently consists of the Sandero , the Sandero Stepway, the Logan MCV estate and the Duster SUV.
The Dacia range has taken the UK market by storm since it first launched back in January 2013. The manufacturer has already sold over 24,000 cars in Britain and picked up several prestigious awards courtesy of both the Sandero and the Duster 4×4.
The Dacia Sandero, priced from just £5,995, is not only a practical supermini but also currently the cheapest new car in the UK market.
