The Peugeot RCZ sports car has received a new limited edition specification called Red Carbon. It features new exclusive paint choices, exclusive interior trim and many luxury features as standard.
Limited to just 300 models, the Peugeot RCZ Red Carbon is based on the existing ‘Sport’ trim but adds more standard equipment and is distinguished with unique badges.
Peugeot RCZ ‘Red Carbon’ features
The Red Carbon edition has Peugeot’s Vision Pack as standard which adds, 19-inch alloy wheels and Xenon and self-levelling headlamps. The Black Pack also comes as standard and this adds a distinct black finish to the roof arches, front grill, door mirror covers and brake callipers.
The bodyshell of the RCZ Red Carbon can be finished in either Moroccan Red or Nera Black. Inside meanwhile the sports car now features black leather sport seats with red stitching. The dashboard, sports steering wheel and gear lever also receive unique trim for the Red Carbon edition.
Standard kit includes a radio/CD player, satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Other equipment carried over from the RCZ’s Sport trim includes climate control, cruise control, electric and heated mirrors and parking sensors.
The RCZ Red Carbon is available with three engine options and all are linked to a six-speed manual gearbox.
With the 155bhp 1.6-litreTHP petrol unit the RCZ Red Carbon is priced at £26,000. With this unit the coupe goes from a standstill to 62mph in 8.3 seconds. It also emits 149g/km in CO2 and returns a combined fuel economy of 44.1mpg.
Peugeot RCZ Carbon Price List
The RCZ Red Carbon is priced at £27,850 when using the 161bhp 2.0-litre HDi diesel engine, which allows the coupe to cover the zero to 62mph sprint in 8.7 seconds. This is the most efficient engine in the line-up, returning a CO2 emissions output of just 135g/km and a combined fuel economy of 54.3mpg.
The most potent engine in the RCZ Red Carbon line-up is the 197bhp 1.6-litre THP petrol unit. With this the limited edition sports car is priced at £28,400. It can also go from a standstill to 62mph in just 7.6 seconds. This model also emits 155g/km in CO2 and returns a combined fuel economy figure of 42.1mpg.
The Red Carbon edition is the second new derivative of the Peugeot RCZ to be launched for the UK market this year. Back in January the RCZ R arrived to showrooms, it is priced from £31,995 and it’s the quickest derivative yet of the stylish coupe. It boasts 266bhp from a 2.0-litre petrol engine.
