The latest Vauxhall Combo range has been expanded with the introduction of a new bodystyle, the L2H2 panel van.
This new and highly practical Vauxhall Combo made its public debut earlier this week at the 2014 Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show in Birmingham. The new Combo L2H2 panel van is a high-roof, long-wheelbase version of Vauxhall’s popular Combo van, which has been designed to meet increasing demand for this type of commercial vehicle.
Offering an extra 245mm of additional height over the H1 specification, the L2H2 is available with a choice of two 1.6-litre diesel engines with 89bhp or 104bhp. Both engines come with stop-start technology as standard.
The increased length and height of this Combo model gives the van an impressive cargo capacity of 5,000 litres. The new Combo L2H2 panel van also boasts the same one-tonne (1,000kg) class-leading payload as its shorter H1 sibling.
The Brand Manager of Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles, Steve Bryant, commented: “The inclusion of this new high roof long wheelbase version to the Combo range demonstrates our commitment to satisfy customer demand.
“Today’s market means that customers are increasingly demanding a wide variety of commercial vehicles to choose from and we are confident there is now a Combo for every application.”
The Vauxhall Combo sits above the Corsavan and below the Vivaro and Movano in the brand’s commercial vehicle line-up. Pricing for the Combo currently starts at £14,213.33 for the Panel Van or £16,518.33 for the Crew Van.
Across the Combo range there are five different engines, with CO2 emissions as low as 126g/km and fuel economy of up to 58.9mpg.
With two wheelbases and two heights available for the Combo, the van includes a radio/CD player, trip computer, anti-lock brakes (ABS) and a full steel bulkhead as standard.
Sportive versions of the Combo, available for both wheelbases, add extra kit including air conditioning, metallic paint, a sliding side door and body coloured bumpers.
The optional equipment list for the Vauxhall Combo features rear parking sensors, cruise control, climate control, glazed rear doors and roof bars.
There are three practical option packs available with the latest Combo. The Load Compartment pack includes overhead storage shelf in the cabin, PVC lining for the loading compartment floor and a removable courtesy light. The Winter pack includes headlamp wash, fog lights, external temperature sensor and electric adjustable door mirrors. Finally, the Driver pack includes a multimedia reader, supporting Bluetooth, USB and MP3 connections, plus a leather steering wheel and gear knob.
