The Fiat Punto range has been expanded with a new limited edition model called Jet Black 2. It is on sale in UK dealerships now, priced at £12,000.
The Jet Black 2 edition is available as a three-door model only. It is nearly £2,000 more than the entry-level Fiat Punto in its current line-up. In return for the extra money paid, it comes with exterior and interior styling upgrades to give the car its own distinct look. It also boasts numerous luxury technologies for driver and passengers to enjoy.
There are many strong competitors in the supermini category these days, featuring cars such as the Ford Fiesta and the Vauxhall Corsa. With this in mind a lot is realistically required to catch the attention of potential customers looking within this sector.
With its new Jet Black 2 model, mixing premium quality with exclusivity, the Fiat Punto has received a boost in its overall profile.
Each example of the new Fiat Punto Jet Black 2 supermini is finished in a Crossover Black metallic paint job. Complementing this dark finish is a couple of bright blue racing stripes on both sides of the car.
Other highlights of this car’s exterior include the dark tinted privacy glass, 17-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured side skirts and a matching rear spoiler. The limited edition Punto also utilises sports suspension and front fog lights.
Inside this special edition Punto has a lot of equipment as standard for occupants to use. The list includes automatic climate control and voice-controlled Bluetooth connectivity. Other features onboard the Fiat includes cruise control, rear parking sensors and adaptive cornering fog lights.
The engine used for the Fiat Punto Jet Black 2 is a 1.4-litre petrol unit which produces 76bhp. It allows the supermini to go from a standstill to 62mph in 13.2 seconds.
This engine is also supported with stop-start technology, which automatically and temporarily switches the engine off when the car is idle in traffic and placed in neutral. When this feature is utilised the driver can quickly restart the engine by simply placing their foot back on the clutch.
With the benefit of this engine technology, the special edition Punto emits just 132g/km in CO2 and returns 49.6mpg on the official combined fuel cycle.
Other trim levels in the Fiat Punto range include ‘Pop’, ‘Easy’, ‘GBT’ and ‘Sporting’. Pricing for the Fiat Punto line-up starts from £10,050 for the 1.2 Pop three-door model.
