Company Car in Action is an annual meeting which provide fleet operators information on their future vehicle partners. To achieve this numerous exclusive drives are offered on new and recently released cars which are potential candidates.
This year’s event will take place at Millbrook Proving Ground on 10th and 11th June 2014. SEAT is one of a few manufacturers who have already been confirmed for its attendance.
A new Leon Cupra 280 model will be among the models company car drivers attending will be able to try out.
This hot hatch will sit alongside the new Leon ST estate in SEAT’s line-up for Company Car in Action. Also attending will be a Leon SE-trim hatchback with a 1.6-litre TDI diesel that emits just 99g/km in CO2.
Other SEAT models will be attending this year’s Company Car in Action, including the Mii city car, Ibiza supermini and Alhambra MPV.
The new SEAT Leon Cupra should prove a particularly big attraction for guests at the event in Millbrook. Raising the profile of the new hot hatch was the announcement last month that it had set a new lap record for a front-wheel drive production car at the legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit.
Not only is it evidently quick, the SEAT Leon Cupra can also prove attractive to both private and fleet buyers as it returns 44.1mpg on the combined fuel cycle. This is an impressive figure for a performance-focused car. It is achieved despite the Leon Cupra being capable of going from a standstill to 62mph in just 5.7 seconds.
Pricing for the Leon Cupra range begins from £25,690 for the basic model, rising to £28,525 for the top of the range Cupra. The car is available in the three-door SC bodystyle or in five-door hatchback form.
All of the new SEAT Leon Cupra models use a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine, mated to either a manual gearbox or the optional DSG transmission.
The most basic model in the new SEAT Leon Cupra range comes in three-door guise and produces 261bhp. The rest of the line-up, whether three-door or five-door delivers an increased output of 278bhp.
Standard equipment for the SEAT Leon Cupra includes the Spanish manufacturer’s Media System Plus computer. Also inside is a DAB digital radio, black full-leather upholstery and sports seats.
Meanwhile another highly attractive new Leon model is the Ecomotive with CO2 emissions outputting from just 87g/km.
