Those eligible will likely to need act quickly to get their hands on the Qashqai Premier Edition. Only 2,007 examples will be built by Nissan, with just 290 coming to the UK.
The Premier Edition will arrive in the UK alongside the rest of the new Qashqai range, which is available to order from January 2014.
Nissan has created the Premier Edition in a gesture to celebrate the huge success of the previous Qashqai and reward the two million buyers of the original crossover.
This limited edition crossover is based on the top of the range Qashqai Tekna, but comes with extra premium materials and additional practical features.
New kit added by the Premier Edition includes special part leather and Alcantara trim, a dark roof liner, custom dark carpets and chrome side door sills.
Also included is a front lip and tailgate lower finisher and special Premier-branded kick plates. Each new Qashqai Premier Edition will bear its own numbered badge, emphasising the limited edition model’s exclusiveness.
The exclusive model also comes with all the gadgets you can get on the new Qashqai Tekna model. Therefore it also includes Bi-LED headlamps, front and rear parking sensors, a large glass roof and the NissanConnect media system with DAB radio supported.
Also fitted standard on the Nissan Qashqai Premier Limited Edition is the collection of ‘Safety Shield’ technologies. This safety kit includes Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning and Moving Object Detection.
The Nissan Qashqai Premier Limited Edition is available in just one paintjob, a Pearl Black finish. It also uses a four-wheel drive powertrain and a 128bhp 1.6-litre dCi turbodiesel engine.
Pricing for the Premier Limited Edition has not been revealed yet, but the new standard Qashqai will start from £17,595.
First revealed just a couple of weeks ago, the new Nissan Qashqai has been redesigned from the ground up. Outside the Premier Limited Edition there are four trim levels for customers – the entry-level ‘Visia’ models, upgraded ‘Acenta’ versions, further enhanced ‘Acenta Premium’ variants and of course the range-topping ‘Tekna’ specification.
The engine line-up includes a 1.2-litre DIG-T petrol with 113bhp and a 148bhp 1.6-litre DIG-T petrol unit – the latter of which joins the range of autumn 2014.
Also available are two diesel engines including the 109bhp 1.5-litre dCi and the previously mentioned larger 128bhp 1.6-litre dCi.
