The 25th annual running of the prestigious Fleet News Awards for this year sees the majority of categories decided by a panel of judges. These judges include not only senior members of the Fleet News editorial team but also other experts from around the UK fleet industry.
For its Best Crossover category the judging panel decided the Range Rover Evoque was the most deserving to take this accolade.
Commenting on this decision the judges remarked: “The Evoque re-launched Land Rover as a fleet manufacturer. It oozes driver appeal, has excellent space management and performs equally impressive as two- or four-wheel drive”.
“Competitive emissions, excellent residuals and a high level of standard specification, make the Evoque a landmark model that is set to become iconic for the brand”.
Since it first launched back in July 2011 the Range Rover Evoque has collected over 120 motoring awards internationally and has been the subject of long waiting lists. This compact SUV has proven a real sales hit with both private buyers and fleet operators in the UK and beyond.
Over 88,000 sales in more than 170 markets have been projected for the Range Rover Evoque since it first launched. Today the Range Rover Evoque continues to receive plaudits not only for its concept car-inspired looks, but also its driving performance, its class leading off-road skills and affordable running costs.
New models of the Range Rover Evoque are currently priced from £29,195.
The Range Rover Evoque is available in both three and five-door specifications and includes a host of 2.2-litre diesel engines with outputs varying from 150bhp to 310bhp, plus a 250bhp 2.0-litre petrol unit.
The Evoque also comes with a host of great luxury equipment available, including Bluetooth, a leather interior, satellite navigation, parking sensors and a high quality sound system.
