This March the latest Range Rover has taken the Best Luxury Car award from the UK motoring website CarBuyer in its annual Car of the Year awards for 2013.
The 4×4 has already scooped over ten motoring awards since it went on sale, receiving accolades including from the likes of What Car? magazine and Top Gear magazine both naming it Luxury Car Of The Year.
Commenting on its decision to give the Range Rover its Best Luxury Car award for 2013, the CarBuyer website has commented: “The beautiful, high-quality interior and striking exterior design sets it apart from the old model and overall refinement is second to none. Its superb ride quality rivals the softest saloons, while the powerful diesel engines have enough oomph to compete with many modern-day sportscars”.
CarBuyer adds “Not only is the Range Rover impressive on road, it is immensely accomplished off it. Capable of wading through deeper water than a Land Rover Defender, the standard adjustable air suspension means it can go places a BMW X5 or Porsche Cayenne couldn’t dream of”.
Furthermore the motoring website concludes: “The Range Rover mixes practicality with ultimate upmarket appeal, comfort, bags of power and plenty of clever technology”.
Starting from £71,295, the new Range Rover is available now from Perrys Land Rover Dealerships based in Halifax and Huddersfield.
The new Range Rover has had a design overhaul for its latest iteration with a sleek, more aerodynamic front end, interior revamp and more luxury equipment.
Engines include a range-topping 502bhp supercharged V8 petrol and two more frugal diesels; a 254bhp 3.0-litre diesel TDV8 and a 334bhp 4.4-litre diesel V8.
The latter offers a 22 per cent reduction in fuel consumption at 37.7mpg and just 196g/km of CO2 emissions. A greener 169g/km diesel hybrid powertrain is planned to be launch for the latest Range Rover later on in 2013.
The highly luxurious and gadget-filled Range Rover offers three plush trim levels to choose from. The range includes the more-basic Vogue specification and is followed by Vogue SE and Autobiography.
