Ford Fiesta wins 2013 small car accolade

This award handed to the Fiesta was decided by a panel of expert judges and road testers who looked over several criteria. Matters which determined the winner of each award on offer included running costs, safety, mpg, performance, owner satisfaction, reliability and comfort.

Out of all the current small cars on the market right now, the panel for the CarBuyer awards saw fit to hand their accolade for this category to the Ford Fiesta, which has undergone a significant refresh for the start of 2013. The updated 2013 Ford Fiesta includes a significant facelift and new technology.

The hatchback has already had an encouraging time during the early months of 2013 in the UK market. The Ford Fiesta is currently the highest selling new model in the 2013 UK car market to date, a rich vein of form it has carried over from the last couple of years and beyond.

With 11,561 units of the latest Ford Fiesta already sold in the UK market after two months of this year, there’s little indication of the supermini losing its successful momentum.

The changes the Ford Fiesta has undergone for the start of 2013 onwards includes the new premium-looking trapezoid grille, which is undoubtedly the biggest and most noticeable update to the car’s styling.

Inside meanwhile the 2013 Ford Fiesta sports far more technical gadgets then the small car ever has before. These features not only help to give the latest Fiesta an extra sense of premium quality but also provide extra protection to driver and passengers.

The 2013 Fiesta is the first Ford supermini feature the company’s MyKey technology which allows parents to set limits to the top speed and the audio volume for when younger drivers use the car.

With Ford MyKey onboard audio sources are even muted until seatbelts are fastened, and certain driver aids can be prevented from being switched off.

To benefit the safety of younger drivers further, the MyKey gadget can also have chimes programmed in to play whenever the car is travelling at speeds between 40mph to 80mph, or for when it is low on fuel.

UK motorists can get their hands on a new Ford Fiesta now from Perrys Ford Dealerships located in Aylesbury and High Wycombe.
