The Vauxhall brand and sister counterpart Opel are currently owned by the American motoring monopoly General Motors (GM) who have established a relation with the world famous Disney Company for over thirty years now.
Disney, famous of course for creating some of the most popular children cartoon shows ever made, began its relationship between General Motors back in 1982, when the alliance was first signed to allow GM to showcase car technology at Disney’s Epcot attraction.
Later on in November 2011, General Motors and Euro Disney announced a partnership agreement covering the use of promotional rights for the Disney and Disneyland Paris brands. As a result, Vauxhall/Opel became the official automobile partner of Europe’s number one tourist destination for the next two years.
That relationship has now been strengthened further as the Walt Disney Company has now signed a three-year vehicle supply deal with Vauxhall/Opel covering its whole passenger car range.
In the UK, Disney will now take delivery of numerous Vauxhall vehicles while Opel brand cars will be used by Disney in many other countries outside of Britain.
As part of the signed agreement the new fleet of models Disney will use will include three Vauxhall models, specifically the Insignia, the Astra and Zafira Tourer.
The Vauxhall Ampera, Vauxhall’s Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (E-REV), is also considered likely to join Disney’s fleet of company cars for use in the UK and other European nations.
All these models make up the majority of Vauxhall’s current expansive and practical family car range. The Vauxhall Insignia, available in both saloon and Sport Tourer estate bodystyles, is a spacious five-door family car with a massive range of petrol and efficient diesel engines.
The Vauxhall Astra range, which includes both hatchback and Sport Tourer estate models, is one of the most popular family cars in the UK. The Astra range has been frequently updated in recent years to allow it to provide a premium level of feel and quality whilst also achieving low running costs.
The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer is also a practical family car, a seven-seater MPV with a stand-out cabin supported by its Flex7 seating arrangement.
All of these Vauxhall models are available right now to UK motorists at your local Perrys Vauxhall Dealership.
