Best convertibles for 2013

While a number of well-known names remain available in the convertible sector, a batch of exciting newcomers are set to enter the fold during 2013, delivering a greater standard in luxury or power or even in both categories.

The size and the standard of competition in the UK convertible market is set to rise even higher this year, so quickly in fact it could be hard for consumers to keep up with it all. So here to make your choices clear for the next summer, is our guide to the best convertibles for 2013.

The entries include all-new models which are set to be released later in the year, as well as established convertibles which still remain amongst the best to choose.

Vauxhall Cascada

The first full-sized convertible car from Vauxhall in over 70 years, the Cascada is an all-new and excitedly stylish creation from the British brand for 2013.

Vauxhall is targeting the Cascada at buyers of premium convertible cars. With a starting price of £23,995 the Cascada will be considerably cheaper than its immediate rivals like the Audi A5 Cabriolet.

For the money you’ll get a two-door and four-seater cruiser, with a soft fabric roof that can be automatically closed in just 17 seconds while travelling at speed of up to 30mph.

The Cascada will also utilise a broad range of powerful engines including a 1.4-litre 138bhp unit and a 1.6-litre Turbo 168bhp amongst the petrol engine line-up.

Vauxhall will launch the Cascada for Britain’s motorists starting from April 2013. It will be available from the network of Perrys Vauxhall Dealerships.

The popular Citroen DS3 will get an extra lease of life in 2013 with the arrival of this stunning new specification, the Cabrio.

The new model takes the colourful style of the standard DS3 hatchback, plus the solid engine range but swaps the standard metal roof for a soft-top coloured in Infinite Blue as standard, or in two seperate colours depending on your preference.

Over 2,000 pre-orders have already been made for the in-demand Jaguar F-Type which will go on sale at Perrys Jaguar Dealership found in Huddersfield later this year.
